Relax - and drink tea

Lighter living extra - "You drink tea to forget the noise of the world," said Chinese philosopher T'ien Yi-Heng. We introduce you to four feel-good teas to make your own


St. John's wort tea with mint (far left)
Put a few St. John's wort leaves and blossoms together with fresh mint in a pot, pour boiling water over them and let them steep for about 10 minutes. For a fruity flavor, add fresh orange peel.
Effect: calms the mind and stomach and brightens the mood.

Lemongrass Verbena Tea (middle left)
Put a stalk of fresh lemon verbena and lemongrass (in pieces) in a jug with 1 tbsp anise, pour boiling water over it and let it steep for about 10 minutes.
Effect: calms nerves and stomach.

Melissa tea with hops and valerian (center right)
Put some fresh lemon balm leaves with some dried hops and valerian in a pot, pour boiling water over them and let them steep for about 10 minutes.
Effect: an excellent sleep aid.

Lavender tea with thyme (far right)
Put a bunch of fresh sprigs of thyme and lavender stems (untreated) in a pot, pour boiling water over them and let them steep for about 10 minutes.
Effect: helps with nervousness, tension
